Patient Information > Information about the NHS

In April 2006 a new dental contract was introduced which eliminates the confusion of paying for NHS treatment – on your first visit you will be told which band (1 of 3) your treatment falls into and you now pay only one fee for a course of treatment (previously each item of dental treatment was paid for separately).

Under the old system you would be de-registered for not attending at regular intervals – the new system has abolished this rule. However, at Denticare we believe that regular attendance is of vital importance to your long term oral health and will mean less treatment in the future so please return to the practice at the interval your dentist has suggested.

If you would like more information about the new contract and charges please phone your local Denticare practice.
